Mission Statement

The mission of the Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors. Plan, build, manage, and maintain proper level of infrastructure and stormwater control in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

Parks and Recreation Division

Responsible for maintenance of parks, ball field maintenance and public right-of-ways/medians/alleyways. We also provide maintenance to 16 City park areas and the grounds of 4 municipal buildings, consisting of 340 acres of the parks system and/or City properties. The Division is also responsible for four major areas of programming: Youth Activities, Adult Activities, Senior Programming and Community Support.

Maintenance Services Division

We are responsible for building maintenance, water/sewer, water distribution, waste water collections, as well as the Quick Response Team (QRT).
